Aeroxchange

Aeroxchange is a large, global supply chain conducting business in several languages and across multiple time zones. They needed a collaboration platform that is easy to maintain, exists in the cloud and would allow them to create multiple networks, each with its own needs regarding privacy and security.

Using BroadVision Clearvale, Aeroxchange has seen a boost in the quality of specs generated within several design communities, the ability to stimulate vibrant information-sharing across different groups, and the ability to collaborate on complex timelines set by airlines in the ecosystem.

About Aeroxchange

Aeroxchange provides supply chain collaboration solutions to maximize efficiency across the complex aviation supply chain. As an open, neutral platform, it provides a seamless means for electronic commerce and procurement solutions between the world's largest airlines and suppliers within the industry. "For some time, we've understood that a social networking solution might provide the foundation for future development and expanded collaboration. But we had a few tough requirements. First, the network would need to be hosted in the cloud providing security and worldwide availability. Second, the platform would need to be DIY (do-it-yourself), so as to minimize the learning curve and time-to-market. Finally, the platform would need to enable us to easily navigate across a network of both public and private groups, because that reflects the way business is done in our world. Clearvale met all three requirements. We are only six months into this project, and already we are seeing results across the ecosystem." — Al Koszarek, President and CEO of Aeroxchange

Club Med

Club Med is one of the world's largest and most successful providers of all-inclusive holidays. Requiring an online platform that could handle high volume traffic, Club Med decided to migrate its BroadVision website to the BroadVision® 8.2 Commerce Agility Suite™ technology platform.

BroadVision's 8.2 e-business/e-commerce technology enabled Club Med to easily meet large traffic demands, especially during the summer peak when holiday seekers look to Club Med to relax. BroadVision's agile and scalable platform supports a high number of transactions, guaranteeing Club Med close to zero disruptions as vacation seekers look to book their holidays — offering seamless transactions and an outstanding online user experience.

About Club Méditerranée

As the inventor of the holiday club concept, Club Méditerranée is the world leader in upscale, friendly, multicultural all-inclusive holidays. Present in 40 countries, it has 75 holiday villages in all parts of the world in addition to the Club Med 2 cruise ship. Distributed by more than 1500 travel agencies via its direct and indirect networks, Club Méditerranée also offers a range of high-profile complementary activities to more than 1.2 million clients each year.

"Our existing clubmed.com site was already on BroadVision. We looked to BroadVision's 8.2 version for the increased performance and greater flexibility for our business. With BroadVision 8.2, we decreased the number of processors to meet the same amount of traffic, leading to a productivity gain of 20% and less Total Cost of Ownership. With greater TCO, and BroadVision's agile technology and Kona platform, Club Med is now able to increase the number of functional projects to meet more of our customers' needs. In the end, our customers are ultimate beneficiaries. BroadVision's 8.2 solution provides Club Med with more flexibility and agility for the integration with the entire operations chain, from development to industrialization." — Cyril Casenave, IT Manager at Club Med

The site was launched in Aug 2002 and had over 3000 transactions in the first month. The site has gained in strength year on year and today does almost 9 million transactions in a month. Market share reports differ across agencies, but all agree that a minimum, IRCTC accounts for over 50% of e commerce transactions in India!

The IRCTC online portal has grown from reservation portal to a full fledged Rail Travel portal. From its start as B2C portal, it has today grown into a B2B2C portal. From primarily being a ticket reservation site, the portal has evolved into a comprehensive travel portal — with loyalty card, hotel bookings, cab booking, Special Tours and Travel Package bookings, and offering over 30 payment options to customer in a secure manner.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC)

Managed by the Ministry of Railways, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) was formed in 1999 to manage hospitality services during rail travel. Wishing to create an online booking system with a user-friendly environment, the IRCTC turned to BroadVision.

"Our online commerce sales have seen exponential growth on a yearly basis starting from monthly online sales of approximately 3300 tickets in Aug 2002, we have grown to over 8 million online tickets in June 2010. BroadVision has been our technology solution provider since the beginning and has made an important contribution to our efforts." — Dr. Nalin Shingal, Director Tourism, IRCTC

Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company

For many years, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company has relied on BroadVision QuickSilver for creating their technical manuals.

Using QuickSilver, Link-Belt's Technical Publications Department is able to easily create graphic-driven manuals for all of its products. An important component to Link-Belt's use of QuickSilver is the "auto-reference" feature. With this feature, they are able to create links between illustration callouts and text, which are then carried throughout their documents for ease of revision.

About Link-Belt

Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company is a leader in the design, manufacture and sales of telescopic and lattice boom cranes, with headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. In the recent decade, a dynamic and highly-focused Link-Belt has emerged as a market leader in crane design and product quality standards by focusing on continuous improvement and employee empowerment. Link-Belt's core production base and center for worldwide operations is its 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Lexington, Kentucky. With major expansion plans over the last 10 years along with continuous improvement philosophies, this facility has emerged as the most modern crane facility in North America. See details at www.linkbelt.com.

"The Technical Publications Department at Link-Belt Construction Equipment uses BroadVision QuickSilver software in the creation of all of our technical manuals. The ability to seamlessly import CAD data is instrumental in our use of QuickSilver. The user-friendly capability of editing vector lines imported from the CAD data makes the creation of illustrations in our technical manuals almost elementary. QuickSilver's ability to handle large, graphic intense documents in a book format is an impressive aspect of the software. This is especially useful in our Operation & Maintenance Manuals, which tend to be both large in number of pages, as well as very graphic intense. BroadVision's continual improvement in the way that QuickSilver interacts with external programs should be commended. For instance, the enhancements made in QuickSilver 3.5 that enable the simple cut and paste of Excel spreadsheets into QuickSilver tables has reduced our throughput time in creating one of our documents from a month to a week." — Jonathan R. McGlone, Senior Technical Publication Specialist, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company
