BroadVision at Social CRM 2011 Paris
Next week, my colleague Emmanuel Drouynot (@manud) will be presenting at Social CRM 2011 in Paris on December 6th.
This is the third in a series of Social CRM events organized by Our Social Times that BroadVision have participated in this year. The first two in London and New York have been well-attended events with vibrant discussion, and it has been a pleasure to be involved in both of them. I expect Paris will be no different.
I presented at the London and New York events, but Emmanuel will be doing Paris; he will be talking about the specific challenges and opportunities for B2B companies in Social CRM – a subject rather too complex for my schoolboy-level French (if I were to present, I would need to limit my slides to talk only about the weather and football). Gartner noted earlier this year that although 90% of spending on Social CRM is currently B2C-focused, B2B is growing more quickly, and is expected to represent 30% of the market by 2015.
There are still a few tickets left, so if you’re in Paris next week, it would be a great opportunity to learn more about Social CRM.
In the meantime, you can find my presentations from the New York and London events below. These are not live recordings from the events, but I have got into the habit of recording videos of many of the presentations I do, which gives me the opportunity to remove all the umm-ing and err-ing I might do in a real presentation.
In New York I opened the conference with an overview of Social CRM, and why it’s important.
In London I described five reasons why Facebook, despite all its benefits to businesses, is not the perfect platform for engagement with your customers, and why you need a company-managed Social CRM platform to complement your social media presence.

An avid reader, writer and user of all things Web 2.0, Richard is particularly interested in the social aspect of CRM and e-commerce. Here you’ll find his thoughts on how social tools and applications are reshaping this space.
